"A Golden Age of Sarasota Masters"

Opening Dec 5, 2008, 6:00 - 9:00pm through Jan 31, 2009

During a period from the late 1940's through the 1960's many people thought of Sarasota as just a small bohemian artists' colony on the west coast of Florida.
Looking back and seeing the impressive variety of fine art produced by a small group of renowned artist, we consider this period to be "A Golden Age of Sarasota Masters".

Ben A. Stahl, Syd Solomon, Thornton Utz, Jack Cartlidge, Jon Corbino, Craig Rubadoux, Hilton Leech, Jerry Farnsworth and Helen Sawyer are some of the artist represented in a seven week exhibit "A Golden Age of Sarasota Masters" at Dabbert Gallery.
