Arnold Desmarais

b1952

“My challenge is to create paintings which are parables of coastal vistas that allow the viewer to seamlessly pass through the technical skill and further travel to private and personal places of their heart and mind that evoke comforting memories of gentler times.”

As a young man, Arnold painted and illustrated while simultaneously earning his degrees from Bryant University, which created a platform from which to launch a global career in the art of design and fashion.
Arnold’s career afforded him the opportunity to combine his love of art with his business skills to not only work with such prestigious clients as Anne Klein, Bill Blass, Erte, Donna Karen, Liz Claiborne, and more but also the opportunity to travel the museums of the world to experience first-hand the work of the great masters. His prestigious client list includes The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Louvre of Paris as well as iconic brands as Faberge; and Disney.

Many of Arnold’s works have been exhibited in museums and national shows which include the American Society of Marine Painters national museum tours, The Mystic Seaport Museum, the Providence Art Club, The Heritage Plantation Museum and the Cahoon Museum of Art in which he has a painting in their permanent collection.
