Martin Dunn

Call it what you will: epiphany, a calling, maybe a mid-life crisis.  For whatever reason, several years ago I chose to give up the life of a surgeon and everything that goes along with it.  Apparently there were some unrealized passions within me which, given opportunity, have grown beyond what I could have imagined.
One of course is my art.  The others are about missions, the neglected, and children.  The common thread I have found is that there is great beauty in the least expected places.  I love when a painting grows to express some beauty that even I haven’t appreciated until the work is complete.
I remember telling a friend who is a singer and songwriter that once a level of technical expertise is achieved, it then becomes more about what you have to say.  And I believe that applies to me as well.  Thank you  for the opportunity to share what I see.
